The problem
A webtoon adaptation with action-heavy driving scenes. The standard driving-plate acquisition could not capture the angles and motion the scenes called for.
What I did
Designed a new capture rig at the acquisition stage to secure the plates the scenes needed, then ran the driving-scene shoots on the LED stage.
Outcome
The action driving scenes were shot on the volume instead of on location, and the rig stayed on as the plate-acquisition setup at XON.
Details
Driving-scene shoots run at XON Studio. The webtoon source is action-heavy, so the standard driving-plate acquisition could not deliver the angles and motion the scenes needed. Designed a new capture rig at the acquisition stage, secured the plates with it, then shot the sequences on the LED stage.
