The problem
Location 2D HDR plates (P3-PQ, Rec.2020) did not match the LED volume. Highlights clipped and skin tones shifted between the Alexa Mini LF and Alexa 35, so no HDR decision could be made on set.
What I did
Captured per-camera patterns off the wall with Calman, built precision LUTs in 3D LUT Creator and loaded them into Brompton Tessera. Ran the Disguise pipeline live so the director and DP reviewed HDR on set.
Outcome
Both camera bodies matched the plates with one consistent HDR look; HDR sign-off moved from post to the stage and reshoots dropped significantly.

Details
Custom HDR workflow to resolve color space mismatch between location footage (P3-PQ, Rec.2020) and LED volume. Captured per-camera patterns in Calman, crafted precision LUTs in 3D LUT Creator, applied to Brompton Tessera — achieving consistent HDR reproduction on both Alexa Mini LF and Alexa 35. Disguise-based real-time pipeline enabled on-set HDR visual sign-off for director and DP, significantly reducing reshoots.
